Zer0, I've seen those two pics. I think they belong to Screwy and Dr Frankenstien. Thanks but I'm looking at closer pics for what I'm after. Rockrover, I know what you mean and I've thought about that myself. My old FJ40 had a soft top and the front of it fastened to the front of the windscreen. The ...

*Attention* all those with soft tops on your MQ/MK
Hello all,
I'm making a soft top for my MQ and I'm after ideas or designs for attaching the canopy to the roof.
I'm specifically after pics from those with them fitted and tips from those that still retain the capability to fit the old hard canopys.
Thanks Guys.
The more pics the better.

MQ/MK Rollbars with hard tops/soft tops
Anyone got a roll bar on their MQ/MK with a hard top/soft top? I'm asking because I'm looking into making a roll bar up but would also like to keep the hard top I have at the moment. I'm also looking at making a soft top but I'm a little stumped when it comes to attaching it across the roof. If ...

Does anyone want their SWB MQ Canopy repaired???
Hi all, I'm after a SWB canopy for a Nissan MQ Patrol. Here's the deal. If you have a busted or torn or just stuffed (including windows) canopy for an MQ send it to me and I'll repair it for you. Here's the sneaky part. While I'm repairing yours, I'll make a pattern and whip one up for myself! I am ...

Engineering for body blocks
Hi all, With regards to engineering certs for body blocks, does anyone know if they HAVE to be one piece? What I'm doing at the moment is cutting 1in body blocks from a 1in thich chunk of alloy. See pic. Is there any problem with putting a bolt through two of these together if I decide to go to 2in ...

Brake caliper seals
Hi all, I'm looking to replace the seals inside the front calipers on my MQ/MK. I had some troubles with the wheels being bloody hard to turn by hand. Thought it was the bearings but it's the brakes. I pulled them apart and found a lot of gunge in them so I cleaned them up nice and fitted the old ...

Yep. There are lights in the rear bar. It's not that big a deal really. I would just like to know for sure. I'd feel like more of a fool than I do now if someone asked me what I had and said it was an MQ only to find out that is wasn't. Cheers Lewie It's not looking good for the fella I bought it ...

Just a quick question.
Hi all, I posted up a question a little while ago about "Is there some such Patrol as a G-Pack?" The reason I did this is because the guy I bought it from turned out to be full of shyte. Now I have reason to doubt if it s even an MQ! I checked out the L28 Engine number threat i the bible but found ...

Just took the front wheels and calipers off. The wheels spin freely so my calipers need a service. Is this the sort of thing you can do yourself or is it best left to a pro? Does anyone know of a mob in Sydney that would come up the the Blue Mountains (Winmalee) to sort this for me or is there ...

I'm assuming from .... id say your wheel bearings are way too tight... you mean the wheel bearing lock nuts?? When I did them I had a mate with me and he said to do them up a little over finger tight. From memory. Does this sound right? Is that what you mean? If not, let me know so I can sort it ...

Tight MQ Brakes
Howdy, I've noticed that rotating the front wheels, by hand (obviously jacked), is bloody hard. The first time I noticed it was a while ago while I was replacing the front wheel bearings. I thought as time went by the brakes would loosen up and release the pressure. They haven't. It feels like ...

Thanks guys, I did the cutting disk option. Took me 5 minutes eachside. One pin and bush literally fell out but the other is stuck like shyte to a blanket so I'll have to do a little persuading with that one. I called up Pedders to see how much new pins and bushes would be. He said he'ddo me a deal ...
