Re: hilux wont start ln106 3l

I would be looking at battery cables and cables around starter but its a bit odd that you have some lights but not the others, if something like the battery cable wasn't connected then all the lights would be out, not just most. Check the plug that connects to the starter motor that the terminals ...

Re: hilux wont start ln106 3l

Ah, I think I understand now, so sometimes the dash lights will not come on except for oil light and the car will not crak at all but when the dash lights do come on it cranks alright? Do the lights come on with any movement of the car or wiring as that does sound like a wiring problem like a loose ...

G'day, does the starter go at all? Does the battery have enough go or does it need charging? Also, have you bled the fuel until it comes out from each banjo and fitting on the pump and injectors?

G'day,

There isn't a whole lot more you could do with 35's than with 35's considering all the extra cost and effort. Good call on the 33's and lockers, should make it alot of fun.

Re: in a hilux and loving it

G'day, Im sure you'll be happy with your hilux, they are an awesome vehicle and very easy to moddify. There are plenty of spaces under a hilux tray to fit toolboxes, water tanks, long range fuel tanks etc. It all depends on what sort of things you want to carry as to how you would go about planning ...

Where to fit crossover steering to 92 LN106

G'day all, I have bought a crossover steering kit (all except the steering box mount which i'll get soon), but I have been looking for a place to fit it and the quote are up around $1500 just to fit! To me that seems a bit steep. So my question is, where did you get your crossover steering fitted ...

Re: 2.8 hilux injector pump vs 2.8 surf pump

So what is the difference between a boost compensator and an altitude compensator, just that the boost uses boost to control it and thats it?
Also is one better to use between the 2-LT and the 2-LT II?

Does anyone know to get it back to the original manufacturers setting? I called toyota and they didnt seem to know but I think that was a way to get me to pay for them to look at it.

Re: issues turboing 2.8 lux

Is this problem just with IFS or is the oil drain the same size with the solid axle lux?
Is it possible to just re-tap the standard one bigger or would it be best to just make a new hole and braze a nut on like in the pics?

FJ62 Ignition problems, please help

G'day, I have an '85 FJ62 cruiser and I have been having a few problems lately. It has quite a lot of k's on it so I wanted to change most ...

I have a WT sierra ute (rolled needing new body) and a NT sierra ute with a good body and need to know if the body mounts are the same so I can just do a straight swap of the body or if I need to mod things or approach it totally differently.

My problem is that a mates gq is in a bad way and could do with all the bearings and everything on the right side so I thought a swap would be easier, but the diff is still good, could he use his original diff in a new housing?

I have had a quick search, but I couldn't find what i was looking for.

I need to know if there are any differences between a front axle of a diesel 4.2 and a petrol 4.2 gq patrol, for an 88 model. Also, if there are any differences between LWB and SWB for this.

I am pretty sure that all the f100 rims that fit the sierra's (some have different centre holes and do not fit as I'm told) are the same offset and definately alot better than stock for that reason and extra width. They will not need extra work to the offset unless you plan a very wide car, the f100 ...
