If your motor makes enough power you should only need 3.5 gears with 35s anyway.My old slug 318 with a 4 speed was great,any lower diffs than 3.5 would be shite up the bush.I mean how slow do you want to get around. MORE POWER

Whats needed is an adjustable wheel base. Its all done with an antygravity time spectrum drive system. I have one of these sitting on the bench here at home. If you give me a good bottle of scotch you can have it..

ok if ya spring dislocates there is no pressure forcing it on to the ground.no pressure means stuff all grip, just a spring that bangs around all the time. may look good for the video but thats about it.get longer springs keep pressure on the ground..

the shaft is the easy thing to make up.a few hours on a manual lathe or 15 mins on a cnc machine.then if needed a quick heat to case harden and a grind to finish.its the gears that going to be the hard part to machine.unless you can scab up a set of original taper roller gears.boring out hardend gea...

yeah its called using dial indicators to line up all the bearings.thats wheel bearings as well as the diff bearings.chances are the housing will be out of shape a bit.by doing it this way you can help to get things back to somewhere near where they should be at the same time.

Detroits are the go.i have been running one for over 10 years.cant fault it at all.ya dont chew tyers out faster at all.the newer ones work very smooth and you dont even feel it going in and out.just put it in and forget about it.to easy..

Mat if ya got a 3rd carrier you can use that as a jig as it is or if ya lucky i may have time in my busy schedule :D to machine all the unwanted carrier off so all ya have left is a ring.should be easy to set the carrier bearings up in line with the wheel bearings spot on

the converter locking up is a speed related thing.it will lock generally when doing about 85ks.is to help get better mileage.if you could make it lock at low speeds the forces load up the converter and will damage it after not to long.the converter dont have the strenght of an 11 inch clutch when it...

you can buy all the parts to set the holley up for off road stuff.the old man has one on his thing that he spent the time on setting up propley.in the ruff stuff and up and down steep stuff it works great.its 100% ahead of a stock holley in the bush.

all ways check the oil ways in the inter shaft.when putting one together the other month i found swarf from drilling in these oil hiles.use a good oil and run an additive in it.it all helps

sounds like the shim set on the intermediate shaft or the needles rollers.when the shims wear out or the needles stuff up the gears and dogs tend to rock around.this and the changes of load will cause things to jump out.a lack of oil at some time will cause this.

yeah i will back that up.a BF let down will nearly work as well as a claw.followed a mate for a whole weekend and saw the trouble he had with them.side slope and down hill made him work real hard to control the thing.a simex works 100% better or just run real low pressure in BFs.claws suck
