Hi there,
having difficulty in finding a replacement rear chrome wheel centre cap for a frontera - it is held onto the back of the mag via 3 screws. Apparently the part is superseded to a grey plastic one and to replace all 4 and new bolts is close to $250 if you can find them!
Anyone know of a ...

Check engine light comes on light under load
I have a feroza that is otherwise fine, but when the engine is under load for more than 10-15 secs eg foot down for overtaking, going up a steep hill etc the "check engine" light comes on. Will go off again after a couple of seconds following release of the accelerator pedal ie removing the load ...

feroza check engine light under power up hill
My check engine light comes on quite often when going up a hill under power - if I back off a bit it goes off again.

I have just fitted a snorkel to my 2002 TF V6 petrol Rodeo.
It is an Airflow snorkel, which fits both petrol and diesel engines, made by gibson rm in melbourne (www.gibsonrm.com.au) and available through 4wd systems (www.4wdsystems.com.au) for A$289.
Fitting was fairly straightforward using a 76mm ...

V6 exhaust restrictors - Jackaroo, Rodeo
I believe that both the Jackaroo and Rodeo have one or more exhaust restrictors in the ý'piece joining the engine down pipes - can anyone confirm they are present in the 3.2L V6 Rodeos and would anyone like to comment on performance/economy after removing them?
Thanks,
Noel

Rancho make a kit to bolt a steering dampener to the TF rodeo. I have one on my 2002 V6 - not necessary but it takes a lot of the sloppy feel around the straight ahead position out of the steering wheel. The kit comes with two bolt on brackets - the existing bracket on the steering link is NOT used ...

Sounds like the V6 and the 2.6L 4 cylinder have about the same economy then? So not that atrocious after all. It isn't good though. About 6.5-7km per litre fully loaded for my dual cab on 31" tyres.
I am on my second TF R9 V6 rodeo. First was an ex police vehicle with the long ranger tank. I bought ...

New tyre brand available
I have been looking at new tyres for a 92 ELIII ie narrow track with the smaller flares. I think the FAQs on tyres are rather confusing but get the impression that 235/75/15s will fit on the standard rim with little or no rubbing on a non body or suspension lifted narrow track (can wind up the ...

exhaust/cooling pipe bolt size
Does anyone know the bolt and thread size for the two bolts holding the long steel cooling pipe from the radiator to the back of the engine onto the exhaust manifold/exraxctors? I am missing both bolts of my 'written off but almost back onto the road' blue beast.

Timing belt replacement interval
The daihatsu service manual recommends replacement of the timing belt at 100,000km intervals. Is this a reasonable thing? Mine has done 180,000km with a factory service replacement at 100,000. Should I be contemplating changing it now or waiting for the 200K mark?

hi Kent,
Thanks for the piccy - where does the larger rubber one go from the top of the canister? Mine goes to the little plastic fitting you can see in the line on yours, but then where does the hose go to? Mine is not connected to anything and I can't find any hoses lying free that it should plug ...

front end lift - camber changes?
Probably a silly question but not covered anywhere I can find in the tech articles - how much camber change is there when you wind up the torsion bars? Do you need to to a full wheel alignment ie replace shims etc it you wind up the torsion bars?
Thanks,
Noel

Hi there,
I have an Australian 92 elIII feroza which I am repairing after a fairly major front end collision (bought it as an insurance write off). The carbon canister (I think) on the rh inner guard next to the brake master cylinder has 3 hoses coming out - one thin hard plastic and 2 rubber about ...

Hi all,
I know it may be illegal in some states, but does anyone know if any extended shackles are available for the rear springs? Preferrably greaseable if available. The WARFS website suggests that perhaps jeep yj front shackes fit ie same spring width. I could make my own but would prefer to buy ...

Hi guys,
As a newbie feroza owner I stepped in at the deep end and bought an accident damaged 92 Feroza - basically it took a hit to the front bullbar which has damaged the radiator support panel, rh guard and inner guard or liner and slightly bent the chassis. Chassis is not as much as a concern as ...
