Does no one live around the newcastle area? Or is there no one in Newcastle that you'd recommend to have steering and suspension looked at?

Going to the snow shortly and would like to have the sloppiness in it attended to.

Thinking of seeing how much compression my current engine has, if it's not too bad just might get/do the valve stem seals. If compression is bad, I think I'll seek a low km engine and than swap it in and then look at doing a reco on the existing one once its out from the swap. Thanks for the info ...

Thanks for your opinions guys. Bitsamissin Thinking I might just get the compression test done. And try the valve stem seals done ? What is a rough cost on having them done ? Are hard for the absolute beginner to do? Does the engine have to come out to do them? -Scott- I don't mind your idea either ...

NH pajero, 3.0L 6g72 engine, what to do? opinions please

Hi, The little SWB NH has just clicked over 304,000 Kms , blows a fair amount of smoke now and burns oil, but otherwise engine seems to run okay. It's due for timing belt to be done and would do waterpump at the same time. I imagine parts to be around $500 inc water pump, thinking about doing this ...

Yep I have the same problem. It's been doing it for a while I haven't got around to doing anything about it yet. I agree with gleno, probably the master actuator in driver side door, however could also be the relay/control unit that sits under the right side of steering wheel dash underneath.

replacement body rubbers.

Pretty much all my body rubbers are perished and now are letting moisture into the interior. I've been doing a bit of a scratch around trying to find where I could possibly get new body rubbers for the NH but haven't found anything. Anyone know ?

Hi All, Really hoping someone can give me some suggestions here. Cargo Rack to fit on existing roof racks

Hey has anyone built a cargo rack to fit on existing rolla roof racks. I like what rhino has to offer but they seem to start from about $450 . Was hoping to get out of it cheaper.

Well managed to get the current o'ring back in to suffice in between ISC and the throttle body. So bolted all back on leaving the wiring harness to the ISC disconnected, (had wound the ISC rotor to full extension prior to putting motor back on the throttle body). Cranked the motor over and whalla ...

I'll have a look at wiring diagram again to check for fuse but when I tested the relay it was fully disconnected from car, and connected direct to a battery for testing. What I'm up to is I've pulled the ISC motor and throttle body off the intake inorder to clean the throttle body out with cleaner ...

Adomw, Was it Aluminium or steel you used. I would like an aluminium one, for its lightness compared to steel which would make it a hell of a lot easier to take off and on. If Aluminium, where do you source it from and any idea on cost. Sorry if question sound stupid, complete novice with materials.

I've taken the ISC stepper motor out and checked the resistance on the winding and all are in spec. The gregory's says you should be able to hear this motor on ignition on, however both myself and a mate cannot, including when placing a screw driver on and to ear. Also states there should be battery ...

Cargo Rack

Any one know where to get a reasonable priced cargo rack that will clamp onto existing rola roof racks. Or has anyone made one. Looked at the rola ones and they are just a wire cage, I would not like to tie put too much strain on those. Looked at what Rhino has and they seem to start from about $450 ...

Thanks for the info J TOP , where can I get rated Recovery hooks from?
Does anyone have any pictures of such mountings?

With the winch, it was just if I do venture on a bush track and get stuck, that hopefully there would be a tree for an anchorage point.

Recovery Point for NH and hand winch query

Hey Guys, pretty new to 4wd drive stuff (a noob i guess). Have a NH Pajero that does not appear to have rated recovery points. There is a D hook on the rear above tow ball and on the front is a tow point. Where do you go to get rated recovery points fitted that allow for use of a snatch strap and a ...

Cost of Reco on 3.0L NH

Hey guys, anyone no what rough cost for a getting a reco done on a 3.0L NH for a 91 GLS is?

Or idea of cost for ring set and set of valves for it would be.

Or would purchasing a already reconditioned engine be better?
