My sierra was not well maintained when I got it. I spent some time and money on it and have been lucky to enjoy 25,000km of perfect operation.

Dont be too harsh on the car mate, they are a good truck. I think yours just fell into the hands of someone who didnt know what they where doing.

I too am in the same boat, I thought my stock 1.3 was on its way out. Since then its running well (fixed a few things like the timing up) and has happily given me 20,000km in the last six month since purchase. My decision was a. Recondition the stock 1.3 b. Get a better carby. c. replace the clutch ...

Well I thought that would have been obvious, but the larger caliper (bottom), and the larger pad (right) are from a 4 door vit with vented discs, while the other are stock 413's

When i brought my car the girl said she used good fuel to stop the noise under the bonnet. I didnt think twice about this *stupid me* and didnt hear it on the test drive. Then a few days later, heard it.. the ping of death.. The timing was WAY out on my poor zook. Plus her mechanic who said he was s...

Im in NSW..

I suppose my main goal is to run bigger tyres, and have some more room to get over things.

If a body lift means I can get over things a little better, but more important run bigger tyres then I am cheering.

EGR... do i need it.

I popped the bonnet of my zook and found two things. a. The water bottle was missing.. hrm will sort that out. b. The hose that connects the exhaust manifold to the EGR valve was broken. So on the intake I took out the valve and blocked off the holes (will replace with pipe shorly) On the exhaust si...

I cant believe that out of all the cars I own / have owned the zook is the most expensive for ctp. The RTA put down on my rego forms that the shape is a UTE, and because i am under 25 my rego is gonna cost me 735 dollars for CTP. So my question.. you can change 4hi to 4low on the run, just clutch, rev it, and put it in... works fine. Drcarlo, if this is your first 4x4, ignore aliens advise (no offence alien), and stop the car before shifting between low and high range, you have many other things to master first, and have lots of fun. 91 Sierra JX 4x4 Instructions

Hi all,

Yesterday I brought my self a 2nd car, a sierra so I can join in the offroad antics.

The silver plaque under the 4x4 selector is faded, does it have anything important? Does anyone have a photo of what it says?

Cheers
