There is much talk of poly bushes being rubbish, and as my originals are farked, a new set is in order. So, with all these opinions that poly is pox ...

Its the LSD an easy swap? Anyone done it? how would you rate it? obviously a locker or welded would be best, but to keep things sensible is this a good option?

I have a 1ltr case sitting waiting to find a home in the coily...anyone done this swap or know of any write ups? Can driveshafts be swapped with earlier models etc to address the legth issues?

I have some bling seats :cool: to put in the zook, but the Coily rails/sliders require some massaging to suit, Im not keen on doing this (like to be able to reinstall originals) so I am wondering if earlier rails are the same/similiar to coily ones?
Anyone have any pics and/or measurements of 'em ...

Just so you have an example of a zook with coils...Heres mine - custom coily with coil springs! 2-3 inch body lift, 2-3 inch sus lift (yes it is sus!!)
these 32' mongrels fit nicely....

Yup, used the old pressure plate!

Splines look the same, and accepted the different plates, maybe diff length or something? Both are 20 tooth splines...may have come out a n NT too........NFI

Crazy noises coming from below, and no drive...in the zook :roll: .....pull out gearbox, and out falls two peices of clutch (plate?)!!!

Had another box still attached to different engine, so pulled it apart to loot the clutch, fitted it..no noise....but ...

some sweet work there! Looking good!

Not sure what has caused it, bit it is only one of the oil journals (sp?) that has stopped delivering the black stuff - the rest of the cam is/was well lubed! So i am reasonably confident that its just a clogged journal in the head, I'll be surprised and less than impressed if theres issues down ...

Also, 1st run in car after 1.6 16v TBI conversion....Cracked cam..snapped the F%$#@#er clean in 1/2. Ace..new head :x
ANyone else had this happen? I'll be puttin a Vit head on it ...

As its says, After a 1.6 (MPI) Vitara head - what are they worth....anyone fitted one to a TBI bottom end (need to block off the injector holes ect)? Anyone got one?

Oil light sorted!
Can anyone tell me what the wires that go into the Temp and fuel gauge do? Theres 3 in each, and 2 of these are common, whilst the 3rd (on each gauge) head off to the respective sender.
Also, what is the Taco set-up on the coily? Constant positive and a pulse from the neg ...

I have no knowledge of this engine, so whether or not the bottom end OR any of it is any good is a bit too much of a gamble. i had thought ive sorting out the head gasket and floggin it off, but i really aint got the time or room do to ...

I know of one, the guys wants $150 for it, i said if thats with loom computer,injector, starter,alt etc ect, then Im keen...he said, nah just the donk!!! plus a 3hour drive to get to it and then id have to remove it!!!

Confirmed - Yup, unscrews the valve core and pppssshhhhhoooot!!!Quick as a flash!!!! from 30 - 10 psi in about 8 seconds....on my first go!!!! Very nice to use!!!...... now wheres that compressor???!!!

About 60 clams (rrp $57 or something), maybe a little cheaper than the staun ones, and i wont lose this one!!! Plus, nice and quick!! Im tipping about 20secs all told on each corner (including fitting it and releasing air). Hopfully give it a test run tonight!

Got my hands on a brand new ARB 'ez-deflator' today, the build is great, although i havent got a compressor handy, so haven't tried it out yet....its supposed to allow you to drop a lot of pressure in 2/3 of f$%*& all time!!!!
I'll keep you posted with performance - anyone else seen/got one yet ...
