For those interested, the part is $17 from nissan, no current gasket and o ring rebuild kits in aust.....they are $200 +

TD42 leaking fuel pump

Hi Guys,
After spending the afternoon smiling with pride polishing my patrol, i changed the oil, and fuel has started dripping from the bottom of my fuel pump, it seems to be coming from the diamond shaped plate pictured, can someone clarify and suggest repair?

i removed the dizzy to change the o ring cause it was leaking, tried desperately not to move anything but i think i have, it wont start, i gives off a few pops here and there, i dont have a timing light, is there any way to get it going again?

How hard is it to change the rear main seal in a coily zook?, are there any special tools required?, could someone provide a step by step for me(ive seen one around....somewhere!), im mecanically minded but ive heard there a b&^ch to fit, ill pick up the seal tomorrow and do it over ...

Yeah i think your right, the caliper seems a bit on the sticky side, ill rip it off on the weekend, oh and by the way i put the sway bar back on and it seems to have stopped it a bit, this give any of you any more clues?

Bump, ok new update, the right hand side front disk and rim and everything around it was purple hot when i got home today, not through excessive braking though, is that bearings?

also check the seals around the swivel hubs or simply replace them

Ok fellas,
Alternator all fixed, here's what it was, pulled alternator out and one brush was fine but the other was stuck all the way in, charging fine now.

i think it is charging, when i put the tester on the positive conection on the alt, and negative on casing( both disconected from batt) it reads 13.5v at 2500rpm at the alternator, but the charge is not getting to the battery, what tha????

prolly will but only cause of the increased angle on the axle at a higher articulation, judging by what sort of off road work i would imagine you get up to...i doubt you will crack a cv

hey can someone give me some advice on how to takle replacing the rear main seal, i know the tranny comes out and all that but do i require any special tools or anything and any tips to make em last longer!
