You won't need many so cost won't be too much of an issue, just ask for how ever many M6 or M8 or whatever rivnuts for sheetmetal.

I pulled my dearbox apart recently because it was making strange noises, and among other things I found that the pads on all the shift forks had warn all the way down, basically instead of being 6mm pads, they were now 3mm and using the entire shift fork face to shift the gears. Not good ...

Still, by the time you blow out a fusible link, you know you're really cooking, it suggests that you're pulling large amounts of current, and I'd be guessing a wire has come loose somewhere and is grounding out back to the body.
