Re: 1hdft into hzj79?
Almost right ;) My SWB had a 5cyl 1PZ / R151F combo. The engine mount location differs between the 1pz and 1hz engines as my 1hdft engine fits (only just) very closely to the firewall and I had to use the 1PZ radiator in/out hoses to reach between the engine and rad. (identical except longer than 1HZ ...

Re: 1hdft into hzj79?
exactly what Jonathan said. Additionally: The turbo diesel 7x series had 12mm fuel lines rather than the N/A's 10mm, so you should either replace the fuel lines with larger diam or add a low pressure (<10psi) pusher pump eg: walbro. Also, because the g/box is longer, the shifters may come up in a ...

Re: 1pz shortie
The 1pz is a good little motor. Exactly the same pro's and cons as a 1hz except it has a dual mass flywheel (can be changed to solid). I have an engine with a solid flywheel that I would be willing to part with. PM me.

Re: Series 6 Pto Warn Winch.
It sounds like a Warn Series 6 Hydraulic Winch with a capacity of 6000lbs (2720kg). I would suggest it is too small for a GU Patrol. If you were to use it, it could be run off your powersteering pump (aka milemarker -although due to the gearing it would be 4.3x slower than even a milemarker - which ...

I have run pro comp mud terrains for 3 years now. (35x12.5x15) I like them. They have worn pretty good (50-60K kms) despite me not rotating them very well. grip well in mud etc, fairly quite on road (quieter than mtz's and bfg mud terrains in my opinion) Only probs have been 1xpunctured sidewall ...

Like PBBIZ2, I dont know if your headed in the right direction as the gearing for the milemarker hydraulic is not really suited to low torque electric motors? However, for your info, here is a link to a landrover forum that has a pic by pic rebuild of a milemarker hydraulic. Also shows a cracked ...

Hey mate, I noticed this on locktup4x4.com.au and thought it looked similair to the mount for my H151F gearbox in my 70 SWB. Not sure if it will fit all toyo boxes but might be worth a call? http://locktup4x4.com.au/hilux-solid-front-78/drivetrain-108/heavy-duty-transfer-case-mount-307.html cheers ...

Are you starving it of fuel when under load? The 1HZ N/A have a 10mm diam. fuel line from tank to engine, the factory turbos (eg: 1HDFTE) have a 12mm diam. fuel line. When turbo'ing an N/A, especially if it was tuned up a bit at the same time, the smaller diam. fuel line often has enough capability ...

Your correct in that Hydrogen Embrittlement can be relieved by baking, however it needs to be a controlled process with a number of variables based on the tensile strengh, hardness and the applied electroplating process, (ie: cadmium, zinc etc). For a tensile strength of 1000-1100MPa, and hardness ...

I've fitted an 80 series master cylinder to my 70 and have an 80 series booster ready to fit. When I test fit the 80# booster, the linkage that connects to the brake pedal was too short so I had a small extension made up (something like 30mm long) havnt actually been bothered to fit it yet so its ...

I own a PZJ70 on 35's, they are a good truck. As dow50r has said the clutch and more specifically, the flywheel can give troubles (they are a dual mass flywheel) mine destroyed itself but it was a simple job to convert it to a standard HZJ clutch setup using all toyota parts. The 1PZ engine mates to ...

The 70 series landcruisers were the SWB model, shorter than the middys as thommo has pointed out. They share all the same components with the 73/74/75 landcruisers of the same vintage (post 1990 cruisers had an update and some things changed eg: hi pinion front diff) The Bundera is a LOT different ...
