Recap/remould I thought were the same thing , sorry could have the name wrong. But anyway they are not a retread, that is what you definitely want to stay away from. yeah retreads are those anoying black bits you see on malor highways that exit due to truck retreads, there a cheap cheap option for ...

Bozwon - as squik said, the bearing did not come out, so the issue of the backing plate is not relevant. the actual axle came out leaving the bearing and collar in the diff housing. I know that a hilux has the same style of bearing on the rear, only that there is a circlip on the inside of the ...

the white one looks like its stock wheelbase.

looks cool but would b better if it was a little longer wheelbase (6-12 inches) with a lift and bigger tyres.

that requires more effort than adjusting the draglink which is the correct method.

how about a WT sierra, s3 rockhoppers, a jimny motor and an exo cage.

should be doable for around 10k.

or find an early jimny (98-99 model) and remove the sway bar. put the front springs in the rear and buy 2 60mm raised springs for the front. then run 29's

any engineering/metal fabrication place should be able 2 help you. if you design it properley you could incorperate it in a drive shaft spacer rather than having it as an add on component. thats what im planning to do

it's not a cheap option, as far as i know you need to shorten your jack shaft & one drive shaft (and change drive shaft flanges), you need to fab mounting arms and a speedo pickup, bla bla bla... as far as i know one way to do it is to use a sierra shaft for the rear but it has to be lenghtned and ...

the answer is there if you are using a jimny vss. you need to get a ring made that resides on a tailshaft spacer. the ring must have 25 teeth and the sensor is mounted on a bracket off the TC so it sits just over the ring. i think the sensor needs to be NO MORE THAN 1mm away from the ring or it will ...
