I suppose with the live axle I will have better clearance for the oil sump as well

nope, the front diff is the same diff as the z31 300zx.
the rear diff is the h233b which is found in ya patrol.

Maximum size tyres for a stock Pathy is 31x10.5R15.
If he looks on his tyre stamp it should have that size on there anyways so they are legal to have as well.
He can lift and inch or so easy enough...slightly taller springs in the back and wind up the torsion bars on the front to compensate.

Thanks screwy! i have been thinking :idea: if i change the front axle to a MQ live axle and get rif of the IFS i wont need to run the transfer case upside down i can just put it in the right way up.

Yep they are WD21 rear bump stops. So any Terrano or Pathy from 87 - 97ish should have them on the rear. Possibly Navaras would also have them too...thats just a guess though.

I clean mine pretty regularly as I have above average blow-by. I have always used methylated spirits and let it sit for an hour or two before I chuck it back on.

I got a lockright for my H233b in my Terrano from the US. I have an open diff though. I wasn't aware they made one for the LSD. You better double check all the specs of each diff. My mate was thinking of getting the same locker I got for his front diff on his GQ. I did a fair bit of asking around ...
