ive got a set of coopers st 265/75 16 off my cruiser
and want to know will these tyres go on a standard 04 d/cab hilux
ive got split rims atm ,and know id need rims to suit them too
will these bigger tyres chew more fuel and be better or worse for towing a trailer and quad ????

my max gas tempretures are between 450/500 after turbo Oops. Those temps should be fine for sustained periods. Provided the other cooling systems (radiator etc) keep up. its not inter cooled ,a its a older garret turbo airesearch is on it , i think its a t25

ive recently fitted a turbo 2 my cruiser 2h ,and a egt gauge as well ive wound the fuel screw on the pump out 1 full turn so far my max gas tempretures are between 450/500 after turbo,with the ute loaded up and going up some decent hills ,putting abit of load on the motor wat id like to know is ...

thanks fellas its all done now ,so all i gotta do is sort the exhaust and mount a pyro ,wat sort of temps should it be running after turbo ??

is the standard system fine to use or would i get better results from something eles ,i use it for hunting so i dont want it to be much louder than standard

did mine about 12mnth ago cost around $8000 for every thing ,someone pulled it for me i pulled it apart got the cylinders bored ,crank/cams were ground then put it back together myself ,injectors and pump were done,then needed a new head cos mine had cracks all thru it ,then had it put back in ...

sorry for the late reply thanks for the info balzackracing but im not interested in having to go to the troble of larger cooling sys and all that i use this as a hunting rig ,no fancy mods ,and reliability is the objective ,just want to pull better up hills while travelling ,theres no way this 2h ...

boost???enough to make decent power and not risk blowing the engine
looking at trying to improve power between 1500/2800rpm sitting on anything over this is starting to rev the shit out of it

im thinking of puting a turbo on my cruiser its recently had the motor rebuilt 2H and has done about 30000 since wat type/make of turbo would be best and where would be a good place to get one from trying to do it cheap as possible ,and will turboing reduce the engine life if done properly

you can get the legal specs from the RTA
then all you need to do is work out wat you want to do with it (weight carried) and wat applies to you and then use your imagination or look at other desings and copy

im interested in doin the same thing on mine
how much was the turbo ,was it new or secondhand ,wheres a good place to start lookin 4 one??if i can DIY for under $1000 ill be stoked
if a turboed 2h can safly make 100/120kw does anyone know wat they make standard??

sounds like its not worth it and a bodgie fix to my problem
think ill just get a new set of rims ,ive been told that sunraysias hav a different offset to the rims ive got on and will solve my prob

because unfotunantly i got a set of tyers that until now (30000) i didnt relise they were just touching a part of the tray when fully loaded ,,yes it a wrong tyre choice i know that now ,but am trying to aviod buying new tyres im just goin thro my options thats all ,probly useing the wrong rims to ...

A mate of mine has one of those old girls with a big arm and pulley off the back ,,he uses it for pulling logs outa the river country around griffith ,,he used 2 sell slabs and fire wood ,awsome to watch comin up a river bank on 2 wheels dragin a big log behind ,they sure do flex alot

heres mine use heavier latchs tho these small one r piss weak the hinge has a nylon sleeve in it so it dont rattle or squeek 1000hx1000wx1800l plenty of room like grunta said hav a look at boardogs plenty of pics in there
