Re: Diff centre is leaking

The pinion nut mave have been loose , usually the main cause of the pinion nut coming loose is the spline is worn out in the pinion flange, its a bit of a mith that the collasable spacer is the main cause.

Re: Turbo 700 in rockcrawling

Use a TH400 The t400 has a taller (2.5ish) first gear and no overdrive compared to the t700's first gear of 3.1ish and a 0.7 overdrive. I know you said for rockcrawling but the overdrive helps with low diff and t/c gearing. The t400 is a stronger box but the t700 can be built to handle the grunt. I ...

Re: Turbo 700 in rockcrawling

We have a T700 behind a 308 and I am wanting to know how it's going to hold up to serious crawling, ie upwards of 37's twin cases. It's in a Hilux so not too much weight on it. Few questions.... 1. what do you do to protect the pan at the bottom? 2. How do you set up your 'downshift cable' the one ...

You will be able to check it your self all the time then but you do want the caster to be correct other wise wheel shimmy can be a problem

Has anyone done sums on how much fuel they are going to use,or how they are going to store it in the pit area, are we able to drive up to the pit area early to drop off fuel? just our car is thirsty.

Are we able to still do a pre run on friday if we are there early enough?

Re: C4 vs T700r4 length

What are you going to use it for type of event etc,if you dont need a 4speed use a c4 just as tough.

You can even buy a short outputshaft kit for the c4 to atlas to get the box and transfer shorter, but this removes the govenor off the box so you have to go full manual only.
