from petrol to diesel
All, I want to convert a vehicle from Petrol to diesel, this vehicle will have its engine gear box and transfer, electrics and fuel system removed from another vehicle of the same type and manufacture and reinstalled into the primary vehicle. Apart from the obvious fuel change, everything is to be ...

However your internals may be slightly different as far as inputs are concerned. The LJ70 has the best transfer ratio of all of them. Don't be put off from tracking them down ...

The R151 is a good choice for your Bundy, however it will not work correctly if you bolt it up to your existing transfer(g52). The stub shaft on the transfer will need to be changed, essentially this means the transfer case needs to be pulled down and rebuilt. Your cheapest option would be to find a ...

I had mine rebuilt by western gearbox and diff in Penrith for just over $1000 including R+R I had 5th gear replaced in it as it had been destroyed by previous owner, none of the synchro's needed replacing but these could add several hundreds to the cost of your rebuild if it requires it cheers Bundy ...

had the same problem on the out-laws BJ73. either the timer or the relay is shot, you'll probably find after extend cranking that the thing will fire and blow heaps of chaff. To get past this we used a short length and wire directly from the battery to the glow plugs but only keep it connected for ...

I use half of an old broken IC extractor (computer chip) you could also use a piece of wire (coat hanger) with then end bent into a slight hook it only has to catch on the end of the clip and pull it out. I have used both types and never had a real hassle removing them. be careful though about whic ...

mines is an 85 and it is unleaded but the easiest way to tell would be to have a look at your fuel filler neck if it is restricted then it is for unleaded. Ie what I mean by this is when unleaded was introduced vehicles designed for unleaded had the filler necks restricted so that the leaded fuel ...

Bundera is basically a short wheelbase cruiser (70's style) that uses all hilux running gear, three link with coils and has spot welded pannels, not bolt on panels ala the 70 series range. Weaker drive train, and gutless engines. The 70 series middys and shortys run a full cruiser drivetrain, with ...
