Heres one of the ones ive made, its the one im using on my rig and i find its cool-warm (hot weather will heat it) when you drive and park it will get some heat soak ut in general it stays cool while driving with cool air comming in...

Got a GU box in mine too and is smooth to drive but when im on rocks etc all flexed up and really need some power in the steering... it feels like im driving an old falcon without power steering :?

Ive just fitted the v8 and using the holden pump and hoping this fixes it...

GQ tailshaft dont fit GU diff

Hi guys, ive just fitted GU rear end in my GQ and found the the old tailshaft dont fit the GU... the GU flange is smaller and has female alignment (looks to be the same as the GQ front diff flange) the GQ has male alignment and a larger flange...

The GU diffs have 4.6 gears i plan to keep but i'll ...

I called the RTA in regards to the new rules today and advised them that i (like many others) cannot find an engineer that is not booked out. and asked what i could do?

Out of curiosity, Where is the height measured to determine how much lift you have?

What i mean is, if an officer were to pull out his tape measure, and check that you arent raised too high, how would/should he go about it??>

No... they just want us to work for bugger all then pay them income tax and GST on everything... they dont want us to have fun, they dont make much tax from that...

Will they give us the taxes back from all the mods we paid taxes ...

Ok i can coat them in the black or polished silver
Black is rated up to 1000deg
The silver is up to 600deg

Without seeing them they could be cheaper due to the length

Ceramic coating in Newcastle?

Anyone know a local who does ceramic heat coating of headers? Im hoping to get them done asap and not get stuffed about with postage :roll:

FYI, after work tonight i ground the welds back and attemped the weld again and all was good, no more porisity! i must not have cleaned the surfaces properly in the first place, welds look sweet as now would definatly snatch off them.

fester, the lug is just plate steel welded at 90 deg to the box (a fillet weld i believe) fiftyfrenzy, the setting you have suggested is pretty close to what i am running, im using thoriated (red tip) tungsten with size 6 gas cup sharp point on tungsten about 5-7mm stickin out depnding on the room ...

Yeah I would grind back your weld (get rid of the contamination) and start again... but thats just me hey;)

Clean, clean, clean and clean more before you weld... i wipe the rods with metho too, with alloys i wipe rods with scourer & metho

It wouldn't hurt to get some scrap metal in the same ...
