I've tried the search but not really helpful.
Can someone please tell what weight oil to run in the front diff of a 2002 gu patrol wagon.I know its 5.4 litres,but forgotten the rest.

conversion was done by brunswick diesels in WA after the 3 litre went bye bye at 112,000k.

Not a Duramax.total conversion was $23,000 drive in,drive out.

Money well spent.75,000 k's on it so far and not a hint of trouble

Had the car since new(2002).
Got me buggered as to what it is,definitely comes from the passenger side of the car though.wheel bearings were replaced less than 5thou ago so all is good there.

Hurt a bit at the time,least now I know the trucks good for a few more kays.

They do a cheaper version but $24000 was fully rebuilt etc,new 3.5 diffs.

If it's just the bearing thats gone,don't fall for the nissan answer of replacing the whole thing but go to a local bearing place and have just the bearing replaced.Mine costs $7 a time,bearing is to suit a v6 commodore.

check the 3 nuts n studs on dump pipe,one of mine is stripped and it now makes the noise exactly as your describing.mine's made the noise which is quite loud for over 5000k,hasn't hurt it at all.
