I have a 98 coily and i'm contemplating fitting a calimin stainless steel header. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there is an issue with clearing the steering links because they run behind the axels. Does anyone have any info on this?

Driveline Vibrations
I have a 98 coily and i'm running a leafy transfercase with trail tough 4.9:1 gears. Recently i have been getting some pretty strong vibrations which i have narrowed down to the prop shaft that goes fron the gearbox to the transfer case.

Sierra Transfer Case In Vitara
I have a 98 sierra with a gear driven transfer case with trailtough 4.9:1 gears. Someone has made me an offer and i'm contemplating selling it and buying a 2 door vitara/ grand vitara. If i sell i will be swapping back in the original chain driven case.

I jacked up one side and could rotate one tyre a few degrees and before it stopped, i'm assuming that is the 25 degrees of backlash that they talked about in the manual. I'm not hearing any clicking sounds that are mentioned, are the gears/teeth on the locker and the side gears supposed to engage ...

Thanks for the input guys. I'm in Barados, it's all about mud here and the guys generally dont go out unless it has been raining. Bought mine a year ago and now I'm about to make a project of it. Was a bit concerned for a while because I thought I wasn't going to be able to lift it, there is next to ...

How fragile?
Hi all i have been browsing your forum for a while. I have seen it mentioned a few times about the fragile front axels/cvs on the coil spring sierra, was considering a welded front but now I'm a bit scheptical. How fragile are they really????
