LN65 snorkel fit LN46

Was looking at getting a snorkel for my LN46 dual cab and have come across a lot of cheap snorkels for LN65 hiluxs.
Wanted to know if anyone has tried fitting one to an early lux?
Also remember hearing about a GU snorkel fitting?
Can get one for a LN46 but not interested in spending $400.

Re: The Welding Thread

Looking at buying a new Lincoln 180 mig, which has also been recommended by a few people on this thread. But i can also get a good deal on a 2nd hand BOC 170p, with a tweco torch for $450. It has been used for gasless welding and is about 5 years old. What do you guys think? Is the BOC a good buy or ...

Re: 'modular' roll cage for a 40

I am building a 40 series with a rear seat and wanting a full cage for the family and was advised to have a removable 'A' pillar bar, due to the stupid rule change. My cage will stay in permantely and remove the 'A' pillar if i have any problems. Seems to be safer with a proper 6 point cage for a ...

Re: 71 FJ40 Rear Tail Lights

Are they the same for the SWB cruisers?
Spent a fair bit of time on ih8mud, but the earlier cruisers have a single round red tail light.
I assume in Australia they would have needed an indicator.
Might have to make some LEDS fit.

71 FJ40 Rear Tail Lights

Bought myself a 1971 FJ40 and wanted to know what the standard rear tail lights look like?
The mounting holes in the chassis appear to small for the later model lights.
It also has a separate reverse light in the tub.

Does the spring hanger have enough clearance for the military wrap on the springs?
More concerned about the fixed pin hangers.

Re: 40 series flex.

What springs are the guys with SWB fj40 cruisers using that have the smaller pin bushes?
I have a 71 SWB 40 and a 60 series for spares but the spring bushing sizes are different.
( 60 large to 40 series small )

Do you change the spring hanger mounts or use 55 series springs?

R151 came behind the 1HZ in the 79 series cruisers.
Not sure of the strenght of this box, as it is a weak point in these trucks.

The temp sensor position is in the manifold before the thermostat, factory position and would be the best / easiest spot to put your sensor. I have dual Spal fans on mine, work fine. What condensor a/c set up do you run? I was looking at doing a/c in mine but don't have all the parts and the ...
