Re: Fuel Filler with dual tanks

Thanks for the help, you have given me a couple of options.
I'll have a look at a couple of 'original' solutions, and like the idea of fabricating something. At least with the fabrication, it will all look standard from the outside.

Fuel Filler with dual tanks

I am looking to refine the filling of the two tanks I have fitted to my Range Rover. I currently have a separate fill point for each tank and would like to reduce this to just one. I understand that some Toyotas have a single filler point and a lever selection allowing for fuel to be delivered to Ma...

Re: true deep cycle v's allrounder???

You are playing the balancing game... 1. do I want deep cycle battery (lots of AH) capacity, long recharge time, not designed for and may damage by trying to restart motor, somewhat more sensitive to heat and vibration or 2. dual purpose, capable of starting motor, lower capacity (AH), quick recharg...

Stick with a 2.5" exhaust, (There is a thread somewhere all about 2.5" vs 3" and the tdi engine gets no benefit going over 2.5") I have only a small straight through muffler at the tail of the pipe, ditched the centre one long ago. With a turbo it kills most of the noise, but Mr ...

When I setup my front end, I had the bolt holes slotted to allow movement. At the time it was suggested that when in the correct position, drill and tap somewhere along the joint (at 90 degs to retaining bolts) and put in a small bolt to hold the position. I got as far as getting the front end align...

simple guide, no matter the tyre.... for LT tyres, start with the pressure you think will be right, go for a drive on highway... and after at least 30 minutes of highway speed, check tyre pressure, if it goes up more than 6pound ...it is to low. The pressure should be up to 4-6 lbs higher after a go...

Had a chance to compare LED lights over the weekend. The Versalite LED certainly puts out plenty of light, and with a good spread as they have arranged the LEDs on an arc. Compared to an ARB LED, more light and more spread. Compared to a Versalite Fluro ... very close, just uses less power and does ...

I do.

I carry few in stock, so get batteries on demand, try and get shipped directly from the Melbourne warehouse to avoid an extra courier charge.

I have been supplying users throughout Australia since 2000, so Gold Coast no real problem.

Wet newspaper sticks to the glass, keep rewetting for an hour or so, softens the film, peels off much easier. I've used a razorblade scrapper to ease it off. Still need acetone or thinners on the glue that remains.

Serg,

Get it balanced. My motor was reluctantly balanced by the rebuilder because they could see no need for spending the $180, and land rover did not say to balance them. They say it was the smoothest, quietest Tdi300 they had built. They balance all their rebuilds now.
