Are you sure that's right? Either he is a fruitcake for selling it for that little or he is selling you a dodgy vehicle. Be very careful... make sure you get everything checked over by someone qualified and you get a REVS check.

Something smells VERY fishy to me!!!

Had a great day on Saturday watching some of the action and having a bit of a drive around Springs for the first time.
Got to see quite a bit of carnage! A number of rolls during the day and a number of drive shafts went in quick succession in the afternoon run.
Will be back to camp at the Springs ...

and it is only two weeks away now!!!!

Keen to make it a day trip to watch the action on Saturday.

Yep.
We were alerted a few months ago that the national legislation (which has been adopted by other states) will be used in QLD as of the 1st January 2009.
Part of this is the increased OD from 15mm to 50mm.

Cheers,
Ryano

80 series 4.5L missing at idle

I have an 80 series 4.5L petrol with almost 300,000km on the clock. Started missing terribly a couple of weeks back. I changed the plugs which appeared to fix it for a week or so. It's progressively gotten worse again to where it is rather annoying.
Only happens at idle and appears to be worse once ...

Hose under the intake split, what else to do?

Ello All!

I have an 11/93 80 series 4.5l petrol with 280,000KMs. A water by-pass hose has a rather long split in it and needs to be replaced. The hose comes from up underneath the intake manifold bends around a few times and goes back into the block.
I figured I may as well do as much work as I can ...

Fuel Filler Door Won't Open!

The missus just called me at work. The bloody fuel filler door on the 80 series 4.5L won't open. After 5 mins of yanking on the latch in the front I asked her nicely to get in the back remove the panel where the jack is stored and pull on the wire to open it, still won't open!
