Was at a big event a couple of weeks ago and the Panhard rod bust off another truck in the team. We left them be and carried on but it was ages before the mobile welder got to them. So, what exactly does it take to weld in the bush with just the truck batteries. Size of leads, max size of rods etc ...

A lot of guys use Jackalls over here, including myself. They are perfectly good jacks, infact I would argue that the one I have is better than a couple of mates Hi-lifts. The Jackall seems to work well whether it is looked after or not whereas I find the Hi-lifts a bitch if they are left out in the ...

Pj, check out http://www.maddison4x4.com/component/option,com_ibexregister/Itemid,30/ It's a register of all the vehicles produced. Basically a guy called John Foers was fed up of rotting landrovers but liked the simplicity of them and the simple setup so decided to make his own chassis and body ...

Keith AKA Biggles, the guy that commisioned it, is a unique character. If any one can remember the guy that did the 2003 OBC in a burgandy 90 with flying helmet, from the UK, then that's him. Keith wanted a very comfortable road car: air con, leather plenty room he also wanted a Rover, god knows why ...

No one has broken Ashcroft cv's yet in the UK. And they've been tested in the toughest events What about 101 axles? 38mm shafts and rather large cv's. Pete Whitman is running his under an LS7 on 42" IROKS and he's had no probs. Bryn has his on Boggers without hassle. Then there's Dynatrack but £3000 ...

Prices are cheap but it's Amsteel Blue. Don't know anyone over here that would touch it! Regardless of the price. Plasma 12 synthetic winch line is the stuff to try and put your hands on. Dunno if there is a dealer in Oz? Also, we don't use 8mm or 9mm. It's all 11mm, and some even use 150ft on an ...
