Problem solved! it was the belt tenshioner, a bering was in need of replacment. I had the guy look at everything else and check the belts while there... said she is as good as gold... now... see my other post - "Diesel don't run on Petrol"

Cheers Aaron. I know what you mean about getting it done right. I've only used my tow bar for recovery twice and both times the other vehicle just needed a little tug. I wouldnt use it if I had to give it some curry.

Air con aint all its cracked up to be. My Bj's got it along with power stear, 5 speed box and all above mentioned rattles and shakes but the air really struggles to do anything on a hot day.
