0k thanks guys i took it to a mate today and he said its stuffed the main board is burnt and cant explain why it did it.
so whats best to get a UNIDEN or a GME my mate said go for a GME but he instals GME all the time and thinks UNIDEN is crap

i have just set up my uniden UHF in my patrol and had it turned on and then i strted to smell something strange and it was the UHF, it was so hot that i could not hold it for long.
What could be the cause for this ????

most of the big hire shops have them for hire i got one a couple of years ago from coates hire and i think it was about $10 for the day

I find NRMA good on price for insurance but dont know what there like to make a claim with as i never have had to.
a mates boss just traded his 04 4.2td ST and they gave him $16000 for it

and was in good nick, so thats how the insurance companys get there prices.

what i mean chimpboy is the TB42 gets its max torque at 323nm@2800rpm
the ed falcon is 348nm@3750rpm
ef falcon is 357nm@3000rpm
so you dont need to rev the TB42 as hard for your torque to be there.
i remember years ago when i used to drive tractors the case tractor was able to be brought right down ...

what you got to look at is at what revs the torque is at i think you will find out the torque in the falcon will be high up in the rev range and the TB42 down low as to thats what you need in a 4wd so you dont have to scream it's guts out to go anywere.
my advice would be if you want to do a engine ...

Mulisha if i was able to drive my mav i would come and get you and take you out to glasshouse and show you what a 2 inch sus + 2 inch body block will do. I bet i could go where your mate with his 6 inch lift goes and no panel damage as for tires the procomp Xterrains 33/12.5/15 cost me $350 each ...

yes one thing to remember never buy a ex speed camera vehicle the cops leave them at idle all the time so they can run the aircon i know a bloke that got one and only lasted 90 000km and thats bad for a diesel

yep repco is the way to go.

if the air flow meter got wet it could be it mine used to play up abit sometimes used to be lazy then other times would go like hell and blow flames out exhust looked really good with the flames and make sure your sitting down when ask holden for a new 1 i was told $1200
