Body Lift's are a bit daunting for people, but mate, they are so easy, I put a 2" body lift through my GQ by myself! Just make sure you keep a close eye on everything on your truck as you lift it, Brake lines Radiator Guard etc, you will also have to chop out some of the body around your gear shift ...

Thanks for your quick responses.

It doesnt make a difference wether I back off the revs or even put it in 5th slowly, it still grinds. I'll try double clutching though.

And even though it grinds, It is still reletively easy to get it into gear.

5th Gear Grind!

Hey guys, After some heavy clutch work on some nasty rocks the other day my GQ has developed a gear meshing grind in the gearbox when I change into 5th gear. It's not that bad yet, but I wouldnt mind knowing what it is so I can fix it before it becomes a big problem! Any ideas? It only happens when ...

You can either install a pocket like mentioned above, or put a blank in there and use that to mount all your switches like fridge, spotties, tank transfer switch etc. Looks pretty good if you do it properly.

A new damper will not stop it, wasting your money. I could not get rid of it by installing 2 rancho dampers - and they had a lot of resistance. Still sounds like too much caster for the lift. Have you recently installed a heavy winchbar or winch and dual batteries? Hit any jumps hard, that may have ...
