I too have the 80L and as you were told by waeco temp is taken from the bottom of the freezer section. I have to run mine at -15, sometimes -20 to keep the drinks cold. I've had nothing but trouble with pod filters over the years, nowadays im using a k&n dropin replacement panel filter. It's been really good so far, fits the standard airbox, easy to clean and gave quite a nice increase in power and an improvement in fuel economy ...

They are only illegal if they obstruct your view from the drivers seat. I had mine down at the base of the A pillar. A pig challenged my once on it, made him sit in the car and then try and tell me they obstructed the view. They just need to be carefully placed to avoid the fuzz getting the rocks ...
