I go to Wangara now that Eagle One is no longer Suzuki  I've got slightly larger Coopers and a spring lift (standard length struts). The TC stops the situation with a free spinning wheel suddenly slamming down, but it does force some torque to wheels that are heavily loaded. I'm thinking it ...

Haha yeah, no questions asked.
I've never had problems dealing with Suzuki in the 10 yrs I've owned GV's.

Perhaps its the Qld/Nth NSW distributor thats causes all the hassles.

Thanks mate. Its all fixed now, took them 2days with ordering the part - they just replaced the whole shaft with both joints. (wish they cleaned all the grease off under there though) Hopefully it was a weak CV from the factory. I want to test it out this weekend but am a little shy to give it heaps ...

'08 GV busted CV Joint

Bugger, my 08 1.9DDiS just broke a front CV today. The traction control was doing its thing on an uphill climb trying to exit a small mud pit when, click click BANG. Managed to drive it home with the centre diff locked and not turning too sharply as I had to sit the shaft back in the cup to keep it ...

Eagle One isn't a Suzuki dealership anymore due to a dispute with Suzuki Oz I believe.
I'vre been going there for 10 years and am pretty bummed about it, I only recently bought my diesel from them and
had to get my first service elsewhere ($350 oil & filter!!)

I doubt there would be enough room in the engine bay, definately not in the diesel. Maybe a non prestige V6 is missing the brake electronics which sit in front of the left strut tower. However it would suck offroad without the TC i think. I had to mount my compressor on the crossmember next to the ...

My thoughts? Well to be honest I only drove it standard home from the dealer so a comparison is a bit hard. But to me there wouldn't be much difference lifted because its only a minor lift plus the higher CoG if offset by increased roll resistance of the firmer springs. It handles great IMO, the ...

Front coils 7864 Rear coils 7865 $375 for the set of 4. Tough Dog will have coils for it very soon also. Yes I left the standard struts and dampers to keep the travel stock. That way I can say to Suzuki that the CV's won't be affected, and nothing else needs changing (brake lines etc). You will need ...

Thats why I lifted mine as soon as I got it, I didn't want the underside dragged thru the salty sand. And the right clearance will go along way to ensuring the transfer case and cross bars don't get damaged.
I can understand why someone wouldn't want to modify a brand new car though.

Just got back from the dunes and beach and I'm impressed with the car and the tyres. Only thing was I'm a bit concerned about the fuel the dealer might have filled it up with before handing it over - it got quite rattly on the highway. I don't have any diesel experience to go by, so I topped up with ...

I've only done 20ks so far, will let you know after the weekend.
They are comfortable with more sidewall and passenger construction. I wanted LT but can't in that size.
They're rated 70/30 and look better for highway than the typical all terrain.

I went with Pedders lift in the end, the Tough Dog coils had to be made as the part numbers don't exist yet (probably do now because of me) and was shocked that my local pedders had a set on the shelf. I've had them before and thought they were too harsh, seems OK on this car though. Gave about 35mm ...

Picked up the car today, its so much nicer to drive and has a real quality feel to it.

The rear springs are in and I've pulled the front struts out to get someone to change the springs for me.
Feels wierd pulling a new car apart...

Yeah I've heard Suzuki Aus can be painful to deal with. I'm on friendly terms with the owner of the dealership and buy straight thru him. Its my 3rd GV and the first one, 98 model, had 3 transfer cases in the first few months. Must have cost Suzuki a fortune, but it was their fault. I think knowing ...

Well ,I'm picking one up next week. They got me with the 5 year warranty offer going ATM. I've ordered some tough dog coils and Cooper ATR's to go on ASAP. If I get the car early enough to put the springs on I can get it aligned w/ camber bolts before the easter weekend and take it for a decent spin ...

Yes I'm sorry I don't actually mean 'turbo lag' but thats just what most people call it. The question is, is it outside the boost threshold under 2000rpm? I guess so. Maybe I was expecting it to feel more like a supercharger being the first diesel I've driven. Obviously thats not the case. Lag will ...

I took one for a spin today, and yes it has the dreaded turbo lag feel to it. Whether its actually the turbo or the fuel tuning I can't be sure. First is definately quite bad. Hmmm, what to do. I was thinking of buying one on wednesday but there are so many things I'll have to do to get it up to ...

Yeah I thought it might have been offered as an auto only, not the other way around. Maybe thats just a cost thing. I wouldn't be surprised if an aftermarket tune could sort out the power delivery, assuming they can be tuned the way petrol turbos can. Especially if its all because of strict emission ...

Awesome, looking forward to the read. The old GV wasn't much chop offroad either without lift and tyres IIRC. I would lift it 2" and go one tyre size up before I ever headed to the beach in the diesel anyway. And hopefully the traction control will offset the independent suspension factor. Yes ...

GV Diesel

Hmm, its out now and I'm thinking this could be the only car that I would replace the '04 GV with. I don't know much about diesels but this one seems to be lacking a few kw at 95. Did a quick search and found a mod that supposedly boosts the output of this engine to 112kW and 354NM. If thats true I ...

If we had the traction control option on the GV over here , I would probably swap my older model for the new one. But we don't, and I don't think I would recommend to anyone to try because its such a friggen headache changing anything on your car. (I am still waiting to get the Haultech TC install ...

Sam, I knew what I was getting myself into and I took the time off work to install it and I did everything I could to make it happen. I've mustered the effort to try calling again and I can't get through on any of the numbers listed on the website since the apparent relocation.

Seriously? The wheel plates are about the simplest part. At least I would think you could get them made by someone else.

Have you given up with the install altogether?
