Nissan box has great 1st gear would be so good, loose out on overdrive. The kit used to cost about $1500.00 plus box another 1.5-2K. Are drive shaft changes required. I'm going for the GQ 5 speed option. I know someone with a supercharged 4.6 with an R380 and it didn't last long!! He has since put a GQ box in with no problems or complaints. Plus its got great 1st gear reduction. :D

Change your gearbox

I am just about to put a GQ gearbox into mine. It has a really low 1st gear which when you do the sums the final drive is lower than if i put a maxidrive crawler xfer box in and ran std gearbox. Probably not cost effective when compared to other options, but my original gearbox is on its way out ...
