4" lift in GQ
Can i have some sensible feed back on what your thoughts are of the functuality of a 4" lift in a GQ.
Primarily to be used for touring. If done correctly ie; castor correction bushed - adj. panard rods - does anyone still suffer from the dreaded shimmy?

any ideas anyone? i have just replaced the big end bearings , adjusted lifters in tb42. i was under the impression the rattling noise that appears at around 2800rpm was the big ends. the noise still exhists , sounds to be up front now , could this be timing chain noise? simple to replace? premature ...

rtc dampeners suck my dogs crap.dont buy one pal. make sure you are TRUELY alligned and balanced. Remember to cut a scollop out of gbox cross member before you try and flex front. what about the rear shaft , it must be mighty close to the connecting tube under rear shaft ? youd wana check all that ...

check your kingpin bearins in the top and the bottom of the knuckle try removing the 4x 14mm bolts pop out the top one and remove the shim in there i find this helps them a bit it works. ive been in the automotive game (pithole) for 12 yrs. i dont do allignments / tyres or the like ,but the pissy ...
