the axel is loose but i snapped too far in to pull out, it's about 200mm from the end of the the hub. the only way out i can see is remove the whole diff, put it on end and shake the bastard out :?

37th got 2 averages on day 1
and 2 zeros day 2 so not too bad. This comp does not suit my car or driving style..I backed off the gas a lot and still hit a few white poles.

We have a few new members so it will be my last willowglen for a while.
maybe team manager next year! :D

I've had 2 radial claws fail due to bad luck, staked them both :x otherwise they are a great tyre (shithouse lateral grip though, but thats not what they were designed for)

Edit,

i did not vote because it was failure due to unfortunate circumstances and that wasn't an option on the poll.

4.5 pertol 80 series engines

im looking at buying a 93 4.5 ltr dual fuel cruiser. my question is how many kms are these engines good for? i know it all depends on how the thing has been driven but it is in stock condition which points to a pretty easy life.

Thanks,

Col.

my 97 LN106 gets around 9.8ltrs per 100 kms, reliability seems ok but i have only had it for 3 mths. it is a bit of a slug on the hills with the 31" tyres but ill be getting a turbo soon so that should fix it.

from full to when the needle hits the empty mark i get around 500ks. but you will find that there is still about 20ltrs of fuel left when the needle hit empty so you should get around 650-700 kms.

2.8 turbo hilux tuning

im getting a turbo kit for my hilux in the next 2 months, my question is do i need to get the motor tuned? i only want to run a low boost level in the interests of engine life and fuel economy.

this is my first diesel powered vehicle so im not too sure on the tuning side of things.

thanks
