All im saying is i think the maruti 4.1 ratio diffs combined with the 1.6 and sierra 5speed should drive well . My car is a sierra w/t with 3.7 diffs and the 1.6 - 5speed combo and drives 32inch mongrels well.

A mate of mine has a maruti and gives it a hard time with mud tyres. Nothing has broken yet in 60,000kms . The 1.6 and 5 speed combo is the same i use in my sierra but with 3.7 diffs and it drives 32 mongrals easily. Get a heavy duty clutch if you can afford it ,mine was about $400

I agree with greg , the gap between the wheel arches is about 35inches so your spare will fit there easily. I would rather have it sitting low than high on the drivers side.

GRP does a kit for 250 and you can get speedy jeep rims for 50 second hand that have about a 1.5 inch offset , i run 32inch mongrels with 2inch body/2inch springs without a problem
