Seems that the do wear badly and a reco is a bit of a waste of time, the housing needs full replacement when worn (quite common) and most times a new pump is what is needed,

flame suit on .... hiluxes have a fairly weak driveline opposed to a patrol.

But we are swapping the Nissan chromo cv's for Toyota Chromo cv's as they are stronger!
and Twisting 3 H260 37 spline axles in 3 comps is really giving me the $hits!!! better than repacing diffs, gearboxes, tailshafts etc ...

I have been to a few comps and watched mostly gq patrol ute running round. from what i can see, the patrols just have a bullet proof drivetrain and have the most easily upgradeable suspension to give most flex and traction. They are all coil sprung to give travel and have seen the turbo diesels eun ...

i have had a max air compressor for 6 years and used it very regulary and everyone uses it when we go camping and has never missed a beat.
There are plenty of copies out there that are cheap and nasty and don't perform or last.
don't pay twice ,spend the extra and get something proven.

not enough tread depth from new and imo more an A/T than an offroad tyre i had them and on road they lasted well but i would never buy them again.
Prefer maxxis kreepy krawly and i thought even the kumho's kl17's were a far better tyre.

There are far too many half arsed kits out there sold by half arsed people. Do it right the first time or stay off the road and tracks.
I have seen my share of lifts gone wrong and it is not safe or good value in the long run.
If you can't afford to lift you rig properly then don't.
