i've run both setups, I definently suggest moving the diff foward I run standard 2" leafpacks on standard shackles, rancho shocks and havent moved the shock towers with the two top leafs drilled 50mm forward, The two top leafs were made new with the holes drilled forward I dont agree with redrilling ...

Mine is a 82 ln46 gen1, as far as I no all solid axle lux's from 1979 thru 1996-7 have the same wms measuremnt's. Both my front and rear rims are the same offset.

I got mine passed in janurary this year on 35's on 15x8 steelies. I had to get a speedo ratio box and a calibration report done and fit flairs. I have 50mm body lift, and about 2-3 inch springs. The rta didn't blink when I handed in the report.

no the gears can't be swaped from low to high pinion as the high pinion has reverse cut gears. I think Bunderra has 4.3 high pinion gears

hey mate with mine (82 lux x-deisel) it used to run from the alternator to the external voltage regulator and then to the battery, i'd say yours would be the same. The holden alternator is normaly internaly regulatored so I now have the mane charge wire going straight from the back of the alternator ...

hey mate I think the main reason people tend to steer clear of the ford 8 is because the dizzy is mounted at the front of the motor and would cop the water alot more than holden and chev rear mounted dizzy

The petrol 4speed struggle to hold themselves up but the deisel box appear to cope alot better. Im running 253 with 4.5's on 35"s and haven't blown a deisel box yet. I used to run a 253 with 4.8"s on 35's with a petrol box and spat about 4 boxs.
