Re: Centre bearing for buggy

I have researched the options so i guess im just interested in what people have done and their experiences with it. I have limited space to work with. Its about 120mm x 120mm. The base plate can be bigger, thats no problem. Im leaning towards a pillow block turned upside down (for strength purposes ...

Centre bearing for buggy

Hi guys

What are people using for driveshaft centre bearings? I need something strong and preferably easy to obtain in Australia.

It also needs to be compact as im limited for space.

The buggy has 42's and a big v8. It will be used in high speed and crawling.

Anyone have photos or info?

Thanks

Good to see the chassis rule go and run with strict body rules in a 2nd class
I'd vote in favour of this.

Thank you Pricey et al for all your hard work sorting this out. The main objective should be to ensure the highest level of safety for those competing into the future, even if that means some unhappy campers in the short term. Having said that, I hope when the specs are finalised ours is okey dokey ...

I was with team Blitz. He blew a big end bearing in the mud on friday. We started stripping the motor out while his missus went into town and got a $150 junkyard motor. We had it in and running by midday. They had a heap of other unlucky issues as well over the weekend but just kept fixing it in any ...

Look on youtube of Barzook driving track 1. I think he fell asleep half way up he track and the zook drove the rest by itself. Toperi would be piss easy in a buggy and in reality probably pretty boring. There would be little to no challenges. The buggys are a minority anyway. The majority of comp ...

I was wondering if the wear was a result of the tyre being too hard ad you spinning them up on a higher pressure.

Interesting looking tyre. Is the tyre pressure your running what is recommended or do you think you would go lower? My treps are showing similar wear to your tyres but are 3 or so comps old and a few full days of social driving. Yours must be super soft. Do you crawl your rig or do you put the boot ...

Re: Tough Dog Toperi Challenge 23rd-25th Nov 2012

Thats all good. Ive had a good roll over at Toperi as you may remember. Im all for having a decent roll cage.

I mainly just wanted to know if you would accept exo's as i couldn't find them in the CCDA requirements. I didn't want to go down the path of having an exo and an internal cage.

Thanks
