the prices seem ok but they are all folding panels, id prefer one thats one piece as im mounting it on a sliding hatch.

im looking for a panel thats within 1200x800 external dimensions to i can mount it properly.

the best i have found so far is jaycar 80W ( i would like bigger if possible )
and a few 100W on fleabay etc..

Have you got the sense and dash lights back to front?

AFAIK they are correct. when i got the alternator in hervey bay, the auto sparkie wired the plug and it was fine for months with the other alternator. all i did when i changed the alternator was unplug it and plug it back into the new one ...

j-top, if your charge light doesn't come on then that's your problem. The globe is a 2watt or 3watt globe that provides a small initial current to generate a magnetic field for the windings. Globe blown = no charge. Pull the dash out and test.

thanks Scott, its certainly the internal regulator type alternator as when i first had to replace one the gave me the " is it internal/external regulator... oh internal, thats expensive, that will be $1200 thanks :shock: "

ive got a problem with the alternator in my GU, TB45E ( 4.5 petrol )

its a brand new alternator so its got me stuffed how it could be broken so soon :?

basically i was on fraser island last year in january and the alternator died there and i only just managed to get to the barge and get off the ...

depends if you get a canary or red label

They are not a tyre you would run on the road except to get to tracks and back home if you had to.

I (kinda) disagree. At the right pressure, on the right size rim, and with the car properly setup ( enough caster, no inherently nasty handling traits) I really don't think they are that bad.

got them for weekend tires on the GU. they get the wobble at about 70k but at highway speed they are fine and actually seem to get better the faster i go ( up to 170 or so )

not balanced and on standard rims/no beadlocks

33s? do you have weekend tires? 33s will be fine with standard gearing

Its a GU, you can fit 36 with just the 3inch suspension lift alone.
