don't know why complain about not having enough power. Dont buy a hilux if you want power. If you want a good car off-road buy a hilux. Running 9 PSI on mine, more than enough and in 4 low turbo doesn't even pass 3 psi. On road has more than enough power to pull boat doing 100kph on Freeway. best ...

dual batts

a way around that is placing a switch on the acvcessories wire so u can turn the solenoid on after you have started the car. that way only the main batt is supplying the charge. once car is going flick switch and then both batts get charged. same way a "smart solenoid" works!

brake light

it's to do with your brake fluid, top it up and see how it goes. had the same problem after rebuilding front end and taking calipers off, something to do with the vacuum in the system....something like that but topped up brake fluid and drove for a bit and light went away!!

dual batt

my dual batt set up cost 75 dollars! You don't really need a redarc solenoid. A full time solenoid will work just as good. Cost 26 dollars of ebay. Connect main batt to solenoid then solenoid to aux batt. The other two points are the switching points, connect to accessories wire through a separate ...

cb

if u check behind your stereo you will find an accessories wire normally yellow, just jump it off that!! so both your stereo and cb will work of the same wire. and only work one the accessories are on. Quite simple to do! just disc your batt before you do it! doesn't hurt to put a 10 amp fuse in ...

mine starts to whistle about 1700 rpm, thats with standard hilux exhaust. But mates have got theirs turboed and u have to really listen for it to hear it. It could depend on the make of turbo too. Mine is a DTS. Have u got a flexi joint in your exhaust?

2.8 turbo

looking into putting a DTS turbo onto a 94 hilux 2.8. The vehicle has done 240000 kms on original engine. Is there any problems that anyone knows of with either the DTS turbo, or putting one on? The car has been looked after really well, oil every 5000kms, no smoke blown!
