Hey,
Nice work on the 40
I'm also after some info on the radiator! Is it a custom job?
I'm putting a 1HZ in my FJ40 (see link below), and am going to try it with the original radiator, but I think I'll need to upgrade it.
Cheers,

Hey, I'm also in need of some swaybar disconnects for 80s diffs. (although they are on a FJ40) The one thing that bugs me is with the setup on the rear of the 80s, when you disconnect the swaybar, the end of it is just flopping around waiting to smack into anything that's in it's way! Does ...

I've had a chat to an Engineer in Vic about something similar, and he said you can put a newer body on an older chassis, but not the other way around.
Also if you want to repair the 80 series, or chop an 80 series into a ute, I've got a body sitting in my driveway if you want it!

Nice work!
I'm attempting something similar to a 40 series at the moment, so I can appreciate all the time that goes into something like this!
I'll throw up some pics soon as well.
BTW, who are you getting it engineered through?

I had the exact same thing going on with my 1HZ 80 series :? It was OK when cold, but when working hard up a hill it would stall when you took your foot off the gas! Had to let it cool down before it would even idle on it's own without the hand throttle on! After checking heaps of different sh ...

I think i remember reading another post about this a while back?? From memory the only other way (apart from alternator) is to get a GXL fuel pump that has a specific tacho output. (I got quoted around $800 to change over mine!! ) Having said all this, I'm going to try another route! As I ...
