afm engines have been wrecking lifters pretty often. and if putting a cam require changing of all lifters, valley plate, lifter holders.

l98's would prob be the best the for a transplant best heads and no changing of lifters if wanting to fit a cam.

get a comp check done and see if its down on a cylinder or cylinders.

the new commodores with the 6 speed have 2 holes in the bottom one for filling and one for draining. u have to get the auto to running temp and open it and if the oil comes out from there once warm its full. but they fill in there also.
