I fixed for $80, after trip to the wrecker...

I thought it was just water messing with the ABDS. Get the same thing when wet, but vanishes pretty quick and never had a prob otherwise.

Interested to know if it is anything else...

I have the turbo oil burner - GLXR. Pulls well, decent load, easy over 600km on a tank weekday driving, over 700km country driving.

At the time I priced it, had heaps more for your dollar compared to Toyo etc. Also has much better warranty.

Just pull 'em out and go for a check up the Docs and drop the injectors in the steriliser while you chat. I remember working at the hospital, the worse fat and blood would be removed in about 2mins.

Just finished doing the torsion bars. About 40mm.

I was told I could go about 50mm but this would be stretching the friendship with the stops, ride etc. 40mm also brings the truck to level ride front - rear.

(Must remember to get an apprentice to assist with measuring!)

You're right about the lift, they already have an appearance of being rather large, any taller and it would start to look ridiculous, probably draw some unwanted attention as well.

I am only looking for a mild lift to get that bit more ...

OK so I have myself a new Triton GLX-R. And I love it...
The power, carry, tow etc is great...

But I been thinkin....
(Yes doing this at work on night shift so handbrake doesn't catch on...)

I have already dinged the runnin boards, (saved the body work so that's all good)...

Back out to Appin on the weekend, (hello to those two Toyos dissapearing up the ridge, fine if you got diff-locks and tyres that big)... :D

ABS down hill was good, the Triton has a real slow crawl in 4H anyway, (can get out, have smoke and hop back in before its gets 2 far away in 4L), while I ...

ABS and EBDS, (Electronic Brake Distribution System), is nice off road. Still locks up on loose/slippery stuff but to a lesser extent.

Found that if you are not getting power to ground and tap on the the breaks can help. I suppose it sees one wheel as no traction and starts working the other side ...

Have a new GLX-R turbo diesel, about 600 to 800km's per tank, depending on the driving, and cost is down again around 1.25/litre.

About $50 to $70/week compared to the $90 to $100/week for the old V6 Paj.

GLX-R diesel= heaps of torque, nice throttle feel and gets along nicely, easy 110kph+ when ...

Additional question on turbo timers.

When I asked the dealer about fitting one, they wouldn't do it, the reason being that they could not get my Triton rego'd as RTA do not permitt them, even stated 'they are illegal'.

When I went to the RTA to get my cust number, they looked up for me and ...

First trip to work out the dimensions and let the wheels touch the dirt...

Thanks to those with messages ...

Usually need to be a 1/4 length away from each other at least to avoid interference etc...

So, which ever is the longest divided by 4.

If the longest antenna measures a meter, then the antenna bases need to be at least 25cm apart.

Also avoid running the coax cable together, as in taped or cable ...

There should only be a positive, (Red), and a negative, (black or black stripe on red), for the power supply cable on most radios.

It is always best to take you power direct from the battery if at all possible. Always place a fuse, (2 to 5Amp for 5Watt low power radios, 10Amp for 25Watt high power ...
