Re: What mods can you have in the NT ?

Thanks boys,

I feel a lot better now.

If the job works out I might do a diesel conversion or get something newer with a diesel for remote travel.

Can't afford to go down that track at the moment, but at least I can work with what I have.

Hope to see you guys on the tracks.

Cheers Phil.

Re: What mods can you have in the NT ?

Thanks guys

I was thinking I might have to dump it before I go, but from what I've read so far I think I might hang onto it and do what needs doing down the track to make it legal up there.

I'll follow that forum up for sure!

What mods can you have in the NT ?

Gday all

Possibly getting a job in the NT and was wondering if I'll be able to get my cruiser re regirstered next year.

In NSW I have a 6 inch lift and running 35s. (Engineered)

Will I have to try and re engineer it in the NT ?

Cheers Phil.

Gday

I'm only a beginner at playing with engines so excuse me if this sounds stupid. You guys sound like you know your shit.

A mate had a problem that sounded similar with his 105 with 1FZFE.
I went and had a look and it had fuel and power and we couldn't work it out.
We gave up and sent it to a ...

Cheers Guys

I've had a form emailed to me to request mods but I don't want to do that before hand if I don't have to.

I've only just re regoed so I'll drive it for a while before transfering.

I've found from previous experience when I moved to WA for a couple of years that you really need to be ...

I have a 100 series with 5 inch lift and run 35s.Engineered.

Will I be able to get rego up there?

Does anyone know if the kaymar latches have a rubber bush inside ?

Mine has just started to rattle at the pivot point.

I'm close to taking a grinder to it to see what I can do as it is driving me mad. (I think I might be doing some damage to my hearing as the stereo is getting louder and louder as ...

I drove my mates 79 the other day (I think they have the HDFT don't they ?)
He has just had the LPG injection put on it and it was impressive.
We had a full load of fire wood (we had it loaded with a loader until it was falling out) and I could sit at 100 going up hills easily in 5th.

He hasn't ...

Not trying to hijack link and it is probably a stupid question but here goes.

I have a NSW registered Cruiser with 6 inch lift (engineered) and am coming up north in a couple of months for a fishing trip.

My question is can the boys in blue nail me for this while I'm up there.

I know these have a bad rep for reversing up hills and snatching someone out backwards, but I did this going up a steep rockclimb.

Got some air under the front after trying to bump it over a rock that I was stuck on. I think the main reason it broke was having the wheels spinning then getting ...

How do I beef up my diff?

Gday all.

I have a live axle 100 (105) series and smashed the ring and pinion on the weekend. I've tracked down another diff and would like to know what I can do to this diff before I put it in to stop this happening again.

I've heard that an air locker would beef things up and reduce loading ...

I have 33s with a six inch lift. Stability wise you don't need spacers but as I've found the 105s rub on the inside of the fender well on the rear. I've extended my bumpstops to reduce this but this also reduces up travel. I've been trying to get some offset steel rims and found the most I can get ...
