Re: 1fz engine whine
My vote is with the alternator, mine has been doing this for years still works fine have a spare for if and when it goes. It has been suggested that the alternator has stainless slip rings and that is the noise they make apparently some EA falcons made the same noise and they had ss slip rings.

Re: 1FZ-FE Problems
Could possibly be the gas control module playing up. Check all the electrical connections might have a poor connection or corrosion. Switch off the gas so it doesn't try to change over automaticaly and see if it will then keep running on petrol.

I just sprayed some CRC Contact Cleaner in mine, that was a few months ago and it's still going. Also clean the throttle body out with some carbie cleaner and a tooth brush. Grant I would avoid using carbie cleaner on the throttle body or idle speed controller as it attacks some rubber and plastics ...

There is no way I would ever use copper for brake lines it will not withstand the line pressure. Most steel bundy tube used for for brake lines is copper coated (resists corrosion) and depending on the type of flare nut used will dictate the type of flair. Most reputable brake places will make steel ...

Hixi, ford in the US had all bell housing to block bolt patterns the same. This was for six and eight cylinders engine families so that they could use anything in anything, was a corporate standard ( makes it cheap to manufacture). This was the position when I worked for them, cant see them changing ...

I thought I answered your question on retailer notifying you of the potential that the tyre maybe "illegal". I was told and subsequently checked that they are not highway speed rated, therefore was not an issue when in the bush wheeling, just hope that nothing happens at speed, I had to fit them ...

Are you saying that your getting around 700(750) to 800 out of your standard tank,I'd be guessing around 350 400 tops out of your "108" useable L gas tank. If your getting those km's out of your FZFE I want your hints and mods coz that would kill a diesel.. I rely on 450km out of my standard tank ...

They are not ADR compliant for most post 86 vehicles as they are not highway speed rated or meet the tyre placard specifications. The fitter could be held liable for any damage or accident even if not caused by the tyres. This why many retailers are hesitant to fit to a vehicle, will mount to rims ...

if the tube breaks at the s/plug end use a s/plug socket to remove or if other end then the tube should be long to grab with pliers.
