Which is better..... 15x8 or 15x7??

Hi all, Ive got a 60s which currently has worn 31s on 15x7 rims. Ive got a spare set of 15x8 rims under the house. My question is, which size rim is better for off raoding? Am going to get 33s either way, and I do a mixture of rock, dirt, mud etc...

Does rim size matter?

Thanks

Have copped a lot of hits and they're still holding together. would put pics on but not sure how to. better than spending 600 ...
