i think that all GQ are electronic speedos... i could be wrong. but with mine... i brought a marks adapters speedo corrector. Couldnt be easier to install, plug and play basically. well i dont know if it gave too much air, the car didnt get anymore performance. It sucks pretty good. In regards to cutting the hole bigger, you could either tack weld some plate behind the hole, or even just screw some wood in, it only needs hold the arba (think thats how its spelt) in place. hey, i done mine in 4", mainly for looks wise. i done a bit of running around to find best places for the gear, Tube - i got 4" s/s for tube sales in thomastown, cost around 55 bucks for 2meters Bends - i got from a place called total rubber in laverton, i think they cost just under 30buck...

i reckon it'll be on its way to the end of its life. But you never know my mates got one 500k and going strong. Depends if they have looked after it.

How much you buying the car for? If your getting it cheap you could buy a later model GU 42TDT and fit that...

Cost of a/c compressor on GQ

hey all...
got my a/c re-gassed and it seems to be leaking from my compressor. Got quoted $500 for the compressor (new) and $200 to install.

Wondering if anybody has similar quotes or know of where to buy a cheaper new or reco compressor? Im in the melbourne area.

got the standard ratios... wasnt too keen on changing them because i try to run my 31's while on road. Actually heres a question, if i done my ratios, how would it run being on the 31's instead of the 35s? 3grand doing a 100?

another question... someone was telling me that you can get away with an oil change every 5k and a oil and filter change every 10k? (this is for a 4.2 diesel) i done some work at castrol oil plant the other day and was speaking to the boys who blend, RX super all the way... Jmax is all the crap left...

a bit over 270k, i use some penrite one. I think that the missed oil changes could be a factor, he said he used to do it every 10k not 5k like myself.... is there anything that i can do from this stage
