You need at least a 2.5" dump pipe off the back of the turbo for a start preferably a 3", then either 2.5" system or go up to 3".
Your pumping in so much more air the exhaust gases have to come out somewhere.

Turning the end of the snorkel backwards also seems to work to fix this sometimes, no forced induction to create air pressure.

This is the procedure I have used for years and it has never failed unless there is another problem.

1/ Make sure there is plenty of fuel in tank to pick up.

Matching up a hole load of sensors from a 5LE to a 2LT-E ECU may be a daunting task and just one out may trigger it to limp mode. Could probably be done by someone with a bit of electrical know how. but that's going to cost $$.

Thanks for that, the old 8 ohm speakers are out of an Excavator, checked the voltage of the unit (radio only type ) and is 12v not 24v.
Old speakers are 20w max audio and 8w normal audible, the outer cushion has gone hard in one area and the speakers crackles that bad you just can't listen to it.

What would happen if I put 4 ohm independence speakers in instead of original 8ohm ones.

It will be either the pitman or the idler arm is bent, unless you know what it looks like when it is in good condition it will be hard to pick unless it is hitting the chassis as suggested.

When I done my one a bit of thought went into it and a few recomendations were made by mechanics not exhaust shop people.

On a 3.0L TD it was recomended that a 2 3/4" system from a 3" dump pipe back wold be best as the 2 1/2" would still be that little bit small.

The only problem with 2 3/4" is ...

Go for a 3" dump pipe off the turbo then a 3" mandrel bent system back with a small free flow muffler to keep it legal in the noise department.
Steal or Stainless is your choice as this will effect price.

I am no Cruiser expert but a 4" suspension lift will require enginering.
Maybe not in Vic don't know, 2+2 won't.

4" lift will give better flex as well.

96 model is a KZN 185 and a 3.0 liter not a 2.4.

It will have Coils all round and no torsion bar suspension.

If it is a 96 it will have 4.1 ratio diff as standard. The 3.0L will run 33's with the 4.1 but 4.3's ...
