Re: How do front lockrites go on the beach?

I'll weigh in here. I can't tell who is being sarcastic and who isn't... BUT, my 1HZ powered 80 series went ok with 31"x10.5" HT tyres on Rainbow Beach, but when I upped them to 315/75R16 (35x12.5 in the old money I think) it now floats over the sand effortlessly. I have noticed the engine labours ...

Re: 3 link on 80 front thoughts?

Don't get me wrong mick80 xlink is an awesome upgrade. But in all honesty relying on that one pivot point with the weight. Of a big wagon, would be a lot of stress on it wouldn't there. All up this 3 link cost me roughly about $350. I'd say a swaybar would be a wise investment but I hardly do road ...

Re: How do front lockrites go on the beach?

You NEED to GET about the WEB a little MORE. Honestly, IF you've READ as MUCH as I HAVE, you'd know that mud tyres are crap on sand. Absolutely horrid, simply don't work. They do nothing but dig holes.   Sorry Scott I need to pull you up here, you need to get off the web and ...

Re: Rim offset 80 Series V GU

80 Series GXL 16x8 cruiser rims are DEFIANTLY zero offset.. I have been told different on many occasions so I have measured it many times to confirm it... 60 series cruiser rims may be different tho and thats where the confusion comes in. And I know for a fact 75 series has a neg offset I think it ...

Re: Strong diff gears and axles 4 LC 80?

some say that over time the stock pinion spacer in the front crushes down abit and basically creates play in the front diff causing it to break. a solid pinion spacer and taking it easy in reverse should solve this issue. the 3 of us who have posted up here run 42s on 80 front diffs. evan yeah i ...

Strong diff gears and axles 4 LC 80?

Hey all gonna put 37s on the 80 so gonna do the diff gears as well.
Since I'm gonna do the diff gears thought I'd do cvs and axles at same time.
It's not a comp truck I just want to build it strong the first time.
Cheers 4 the help

Re: Polyairs and effect on full flex????

It depends what poly airs you have. The kind that sit in a coil are not connected to the top or bottom mounts. So they will not limit down travel. They may limit up travel if you have too much air in them/not enough weight in the back. Then there are the polyair setups for leaf spring types that ...
