CalOffroad have good prices on NTN OEM GQ and GU cvs and axles. NTN are the best before going to the Caloffroad chromo ones :armsup:

dont forget the Cv didnt break it was the axle
The GU Cvs are larger and stronger than GQ ones as you know but GU axles are esentialy the same as GQ just a little longer
we use a different design in the GQ Cvs and axles and this has proven to be extremely strong and we havnt seen and Cvs or axles ...

These Cvs are unbeleivably strong, yes the romour is true we have had one axle break, this is one axle out of hundreds and is the only axle we know of anywhere in the world that has broken. this axle broke at the Cooma comp. The truck that broke them runs at around 330kw at the wheels.

The inner axels have been made for the new ARB locker. They will work with most old lockers and only a few have needed to be shortened, this can ofcourse be done prior to shipment so you do not have to trim.


loads of these CVs are out and about and no one has broken any yet.

1MadEngineer you are pretty close, We are just waiting on the final testing charts for strengths but the CalOffroad GQ Cvs are about 9000lb
all testing has been done in worst case cenario, CVs at full lock etc

The first batch where prototypes for fitment. The strength will remain the same in next production run as they are very very strong.
The reputation of these is very important and Im sure if you did ever break one it would be replaced no problems.

Available in australia is the Skyjacker class II 4" IFS lift
prices start at $1815, you will gain more flex on the front and if you install lockers front and rear you will have a capable rig.

depends on how hard you want to drive it off road and what terrain you are driving.

class II kits are much stronger and are much more complete kit

Skyjacker front end IFS 4" is under $2000
