Calling all Melbourne Paj's

Post by hudson44 »

Rightio.... I have moved to Melbourne from the Gold Coast and have been here nearly 5 months and am absolutely hanging to take the old girl for a spin off road. I haven't even touched the transfer case lever and i think the Paj is getting a little depressed!

Is anyone in the Melbourne area keen to take me out and show me what Victoria has to offer. I was thinking maybe this Sunday or even next weekend. I'm living in Heidelberg. Hey Frank you can bring the NP for a spin?

Anyone? I'm keen as!

Oooh no mate the "Clacker Jabber" is strictly onroad/touring for the missus & kids.
There's no way I'd be allowed to take it to Toolangi.
Whereabouts in Melbourne are you ?
I'd only have to do a few things on the new one to get it offroadable for a easy/medium trip.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

Yeah it needs a bashplate for the IFS and I want to do a 1" body lift when I get it back from the auto eleccy's.
It's got totally standard suspension.
I've got some 33" BFG muds with about 50% tread - they would be ok.
We should organize a "Paj Day Out" :D

Yeah for sure. I'm just keen for someone to show me round. Nothing too hard. Anywhere that lockers aren't a must as i don't have any.

If you're in Heidelberg, your closest port of call is mt dissapointment which is about 30 mins from your place, straight up plenty rd. Nothing hard there, that I have done anyway and you'll be able to get the low range lever in quite nicely.

Good to have you in the '4x4 state' Hudson ;) .

Would be good to have a 'paj day', but as Scott said, a little notice /planning is required. I arrange numerous trips for our group, mainly H/C, Walhalla & Toolangi so if you need to some assistance, give me a yell. Also, if interested in joining us on our next outing, pm me.

Just one thing, whilst we have various type vehicles, ranging from almost std to heavily moddified, we are not into the vehicle breaking stuff. That is one of the reasons I dont post trips on this forum as I think our trips maybe a little to 'soft' for most on this site

I'd come along, i'm just up the road at eltham.. Problem is the engine's not proven yet and i'm close to stock on 31 AT's... Mt Dissappointment i can probably do though.

No exhaust at the moment, but I could be up and running within a few hours as soon as my extractors come back.

I'll come along to Mt Dissappointment if we wanna do it next weekend. That way i've got time to prove the paj isn't going to shit itself... :D

Should be able to finish off the work this weekend. I'm a newbie to the area too, so it will be good to have someone else come along.

Remember w/end of the 18th is the Vic 4wd show at Wandin; I'm sure many will want to go to that.

I would be interested, but not until sometime in March.

Pickle, we might have to get another one of those paj days up & running, if you know what I mean ;)

just like the last one hey  ? I'd be happy to muck in - but it has to be squeaky still :D

Maybe a long weekend so the tourists can venture over. What you say Pickle? Allan?

I'm not sure about where. I'm new to Melbourne and was hoping someone could show me around. Maybe a mid morning kick off?

I'm keen, but not this Sunday. I still need to get one of my CV joints fixed first. So March would be a better time, also gives people more of a chance top organise themselves. Hopefully we will have a few more Paj's than last time.. :D
