Post by Ghost »

Im currently insured with RACQ and looking for a decent Insurance company who will insure all of my vehicle instead of half of it, and also for offroad not just onroad.

Yes had DGA they only insure the standard vehicle, all extras are allowed but not insured. That was last time i checked maybe different now. My vehicle has a lot of extras so really need to be able to insure everything.

I'm insured for agreed value of $19,000 - will be down a bit this year, but not bad.

I was insured with DGA but a little thing came up last week that caused me some concern. i emailed them to check out how my policy stood as I wasn't sure if I had changed details etc when I bought my GU. We had lost all our paper work awhile back. Sent them my details but not my policy number as I didn't have it.

They sent me a changed policy in the mail. the only problem was they had changed someone elses policy with my last name. So by just sending them an email with my name, address and vehicle type they have changed another persons policy to a different coverage, changed their address and sent me a refund of their money.

I have since changed back to TCIS

TCIS will only cover up 2 a 4 inch suspension and nothing higher, if u hav a Dtronic chip they will not cover u at all

DGA will only cover accesories and not modifications

I am with Australian 4wd Insurance. Originally set up by ARB years ago. It covers any modifications and the cover is for anywhere, on road or off.
Seem ok. I dont have access to the policy at present but they might be worth looking up.

I'm with TCIS. Happy, but then I haven't (and don't plan to) had to make a claim.

Vehicle and all nominated accessories covered for an agreed value.

Their policy clearly states that the "vehicle is covered anywhere in Australia including beach driving".
