I bought some lexi flares today what a bloody nightmare of a job the seem the spring nearly took my eye out ,i think it will be quicker to build the fibreglass ones.
It's much easier if you file down the tip of the wire to a bullet shaped point. Then squirt inox or similar in the hole until it drips out the other end of the flare (use the little tube attachment), and dip the wire in oil (even poke down the dip stick if you don't have a bottle lying around!). This will make it too slippery for hands but use multigrips and get a mate to wiggle the flare around where it's trying to go around the sharper parts of the curve.
Put the tube nozzle on the CRC and spray up the hole until it comes out the other side.
Take the egdes off the end of the wire and it will then just slide it.
PS put the wire in after srewing the flares to the car
