well he made it here and to the first stage and out of the start gate and that was it I don't know what went wrong but they didn't make it to any other stages.

Its pretty warm here but not as bad as Walbunderie

There are a few in the pits tnight I hope they will be back tmo Webbie, Blake, Mooney and Jamie after a great roll over off a 9 foot drop.

The new fire truck is very nice and seems to be doing well along with the usuals Pete and Taz, Cal and Morice and Matt Dunk with Pete as his spotter, its funny to see him throwing rocks by hand! A new buggy (to me that is) a green sort of hiluxy thing with micky thompson all over it it this rounds crowd pleaser with lots of noise and tyre smoke.

Here's hoping tommorrow is cooler (yeh sure!)

I`ve had 12 years of 4x4ing with her hardly ever saying a word about it, well the odd bit here n there but basicly nothing. So I think giving her 1 year isn`t that bad  all though I am sort of missing the ozrock stuff and its only round 1

Anyway they must be getting near the end by now, mmmmm who`s going to take it out this time?

Will it be the unbeaten team of Tazz n Princess?
Or will it be Cal n Marice since they have the major home ground advantage?
Or what about the good old farm truck with tinny teddy Matt Dunk n his cool n carm driving style?
Or maybe even Shane n Zach in the sweet as firebug?

well ???????/
we had a shocker !!
left robs friday morning 8am
20 mins later , wheel is exiting the trailer !!!
(they put mags on the trailer , & the nuts that were supplied were too short !!)

so robs dad raced home grabbed a spare hub & rim , just incase threads were damaged !!
put the wheel on , went looking for longer wheel nuts !!
found some , down behind cranbourne !!
so we eventually got under way at about 12:30 !!!!!!!!!!!
got to Cann River , fueled up van(diesel)
did a turn in the car park to fill up buggy with fuel
guy comes over , "do you want your tyre ??"
lost a different tyre , BUT hub & all !! shat a outer bearing !!!
SO , we fixed that !! (lucky we brought that spare hub !!!!) :?
had some dinner got to Cals at about 10:30 !!!!
so 8 hour drive took us 14 hours !!!

Now the comp !!!!

in our group , we had ...........
Shane..firebug
Bally
Mooney
Us
Webbie....N.A.M loaner !!
Dave Camp

SS1 , straight off the start line , 8' rock face to climb !!
shane did it easy , bally did it easy !!
mooney did it easy ..........BUT shattered the rear pinion !!!
(dont ask how , he didnt gun it or bounce it ) :?
then us !!
the old bastard child , somewhere lost 99% of wat little power it had !!
couldnt even climb the wall !!
then Webbie !!!
(webbie can fess up for this !!!!)
then dave , made it easy !!

the long & the short off it .............
we had no power , started overheating , tried SS2 ,
went back to the pits/camping !!
took most of the weight out of the tyres !!
tried to put water in it !!!(from the overheating)
let it cool down , so we were gunna miss SS3 & SS4 !!
rob went for a burn , when it had cooled ....................
shattered the centre diff in the transfer !!!!!!!!!!!! :x

O.k what a weekend.l had 2 sides a :D one and a :bad-words: one the fisrt side was a chanche to compete in my first rock crawling comp, everyone was in a good frame of mind an moral amongst the other drivers was great.the corses were hard and technical with a lot of thinking about the lines required to drive them successfully, without the obvious point and shoot line.
Stage one had a very tricky start it was a bump/punch and roll just to progress thru the fist gate.mooney distroyed the crown wheel on this first gate rob got stuck and we seized our engine :bad-words: so we were either out or it was time to do a engine swap. So sat night we went into Canberra 3 hrs round trip to pick up an engine(With a HUGE thanks to Wendle his engine) we got back to camp at 10.30 and proceeded to change donks, with once again a HUGE thanks to Col and Blake for thier help the buggy was finished at 2.30am.

But then it happened as we were driving back to camp(running the motor in) our spotters strap slid down the inside of the buggy panel to find the taail shaft and in the process collected the wiring loom ,just to pull the harness completely around the tail shaft and destroy All our chances for sunday :x   .

But as with the spirt our our competitors we had 2 hrs before drivers brief to have a go at re doing the wiring but WITH A HUGE THANKS AGAIN Maurice had a good go at trying to repair the loom but to no availe it was just to far gone. BUT other than that we went real
well     .
Once again the event went off without a hitch , good crowd support great tracks and great crews(mates) and all support staff(officals ,marshals ,food poeple and helpers and a  to CAL and Narelle fot the use of the property, who could ask for more .Well done to everyone for helping kick start OZRock 07 as well as personal thanks as l have already mentioned to Wendle ,Cal,Maurice, Col , Blake , and Kenny and Ralf.(Team wise monkey ) congrats to Bally and tazz 1st place unlimited and Dave camp for 1st in pro Mod . Cheers.

Great weekend - thanks to all the crew at Oz Rock, all the competitors and the spectators! And big thanks to Cal for the awesome terrain, and Wendle for all his efforts.

We came in 5th over-all. Some good runs, some ordinary ones. Stuffed up a tight course on Sat - and destroyed lots on cones on the same course (run backwards) on Sunday. FireBug is working pretty good now - still problems with the steering aerating and pump cavitating, but other than that and some fine tuning she's working well - its just up to us now to put it all together.

Once again, Pete and Taz made most courses look easy... Mal drove super well to get that bus around - what an awesome rig. Cal had a bit of bad luck here and there but held it together - always consistent. And Mat actually used the skinny pedal and put on a show! Must have been Pete's influence??

Dave/Sean/Rob - all you guys put on a great show - congrats.

Oh, and a HUGE thanks to Sean from ABT4x4 and his sister and brother inlaw... we blew a tire on the commodore on the way to the event and they spent a fair amount of time Sunday calling around for a replacement tire while we were competiting - found one in Canberra, and had it fitted by Cal's next door neighbor (sorry man - can't remember your name, but you guys rock!).

yeah , there was some good carnage !!!
Mooney (gonads buggy) rear diff
webbie...motor , then wiring loom
us ..........transfer case , but we pulled it out , welded the centre diff (thanx Cal) & competed on sunday !!! :D
Blake .........rear diff , snapped the pinion
Sean ..........holed a crawler (borrowed robs spare 37 pro-comp)
+
all the flat tyres & run away wheels on the way there !!!
